1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Recruit Plan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features of Recruit Plan, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Recruit Plan. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

Recruit Plan offers various subscription tiers with different features and pricing:

• Free Plan: Provides basic features at no cost
• Committed Plan: Billed annually at $99/year, includes all features and 3 new profile updates per year
• Additional Updates: Can be purchased for $10 each (Committed plan only)

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes will not affect current subscribers until their next renewal period.

4. Refund Policy

We may offer a limited refund window for first-time purchases (for example, 14 days). If offered, refund eligibility and process will be described on the Service. To request a refund (if available), contact support@recruitplan.ai.

Refunds may not be available for renewals, and consumable credits (like purchased profile updates) may be non-refundable once used, unless required by law.

5. Profile Updates and Content

Different subscription plans offer different numbers of profile updates per year:

• Free Plan: 3 profile updates total
• Committed Plan: Unlimited profile updates per year
• Additional Updates: available for purchase ($10 each) where offered

Update allowances reset annually on your subscription anniversary date. Unused updates do not roll over to the next year.

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information in your profile. You agree not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use Recruit Plan to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit malicious code or viruses
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Scrape or collect data without permission
• Interfere with the service's operation
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations

7. Intellectual Property

Recruit Plan and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Recruit Plan LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to your profile. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing our service to you.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

Recruit Plan provides recruiting guidance and college matching tools, but we do not guarantee college admission, athletic scholarships, or recruiting success. Our tier predictions and college matches are estimates based on available data and algorithms.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free service.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. All provisions of these terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

10. Third-Party Services

RecruitPlan may integrate with third-party services to provide the Service. Examples (based on current implementation) include: Firebase/Google (authentication, analytics, database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Chatbase (chat/coach). Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Privacy, Cookies, and Analytics

We use cookies and local storage for functionality and to record consent preferences. We may also collect analytics and usage events (including page views, session metrics, feature usage, and purchase funnel events) to operate and improve the Service.

Where required, we provide choices to accept, reject, or customize analytics/advertising cookies, and we attempt to respect those choices. Please see our Privacy Policy for more detail.

12. Communications

By using RecruitPlan, you agree that we may contact you electronically regarding your account, security notices, purchases, and service updates. You are responsible for maintaining a valid email address on file.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RecruitPlan will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RecruitPlan from and against claims arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Severability; Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms and referenced policies constitute the entire agreement between you and RecruitPlan regarding the Service.
